Which seats do you want?、Let's get the middle row.、Somebody's in our seats. 买票渠道主要是手机 App(AMC、Regal、Fandango 这类),其次是影院里的自助机 kiosk,现场窗口买票反而少。

We can get there ten minutes late, it's all trailers.

So? What'd you think?,然后开始聊剧情。It was okay.

It was overrated.
It had its moments.
I liked it.

Is there anything after the credits? 另一条社交规矩是 spoiler 是大忌,想聊剧情先问 Have you seen it?,或者直接说 No spoilers.

You(想看电影、什么都行) Kelly(朋友,看片量大,挑得也快) Dan(朋友,意见多,看之前爱查评分)

Dan: Okay, so what do you guys wanna see tonight?

Kelly: I don’t care. What’s playing?

You: There’s that new space one, and the horror movie everybody’s talking about.

Kelly: I’m not big on horror.

Dan: Same. The trailer looked kinda dumb anyway.

You: Really? I thought the trailer was pretty good.

Kelly: Trailers always look good. That’s the whole point.

Dan: Right? Every trailer’s the same now. Big music, two jokes, done.

You: Okay, fair. What about the space one?

Kelly: I heard it’s overrated. My brother saw it last week.

Dan: He’s one guy. Let me check the reviews — it’s got like a sixty on there. I’m not paying sixteen bucks to be bored.

You: Okay, then what’s the other option?

Kelly: There’s the comedy. That one got good reviews.

Dan: Yeah, but I’ve seen the trailer like four times.

You: So you’ve basically seen the movie already.

Dan: Pretty much. It’s a buddy comedy.

Kelly: Come on, let’s just pick one. We’re gonna be debating all night.

You: Comedy it is?

Kelly: Comedy it is. Dan, you’re buying.

What do you wanna see?
I’m not big on horror. be big on = 喜欢,比 I don’t like 委婉

I want to see a film.film 偏文艺、偏英式,美国日常说 movieI wanna see a movie.
Which movie do you want to see? What do you wanna see?
This movie is not good, I heard. I heard it's overrated.
We should look at the score first.影评说 reviews 或 ratings,不是 scoreLet me check the reviews.
You have already seen it. You've basically seen it already.
I have no opinion.太书面I'm easy. / Whatever.

I'm down for anything.、Whatever works.

2. I'm just saying

You(已经在 App 上挑好了场次) Kelly(朋友,对座位有要求) Dan(朋友,迟到两分钟) Box office(影院售票员,顺手指路)

You: Two for the 7:15, please.

Box office: Sure. Which seats do you want?

You: Row F, two seats. We already picked on the app.

Box office: Nice. Scan the code at the kiosk and you’re set.

You: Got it. Do we need paper tickets?

Box office: Not anymore. Your phone works at the door.

Kelly: Wait, which row did you get?

You: Row F. Middle row, not too close.

Kelly: Perfect. Not the front. I hate the front.

You: Nobody does. And these seats are assigned, by the way.

Kelly: Since when? Last time I went, it was first come first served.

You: All assigned seats now. They redid the whole theater.

Kelly: Good. I hate fighting for seats.

You: Same. Oh, and we got the matinee price.

Kelly: Wait, 7:15 is a matinee? That’s not a matinee.

You: No, the matinee was 4:30. It was sold out.

Kelly: Of course it was.

Dan: Yo. Sorry, parking was a nightmare.

You: You’re fine. We haven’t even gone in.

Dan: Did you get snacks?

Kelly: Not yet. That’s next.

Dan: I’ll grab the popcorn if you guys get drinks.

Kelly: Deal.

We already picked on the app.

Which seats do you want?

You(负责饮料) Dan(负责爆米花,加黄油的坚定派) Kelly(先进厅占位的观察者)

Dan: Okay. One large popcorn. You want butter on that — extra butter?

You: Obviously.

Dan: See, this is why we’re friends.

You: What do you want to drink?

Dan: A large Coke. And get Kelly a water.

You: Okay, noted.

Dan: Dude, these prices. Twelve bucks for popcorn.

You: That’s how they make their money. Tickets don’t cover it.

Dan: I know, I know. Still hurts.

You: You want anything else? Candy?

Dan: I’m good. Let’s go, we’re gonna be late.

You: We’re fine. We can get there ten minutes late. It’s all trailers.

Dan: True. I forgot about that.

You: When does it actually start, 7:35?

Dan: Yeah. Showtime’s 7:15, movie’s 7:35.

You: Twenty minutes of trailers. That’s insane.

Dan: That’s why nobody shows up on time.

You: Kelly just texted. Somebody’s in our seats.

Dan: Of course there is.

You: Grab the drinks, I’ll go handle it.

One large popcorn.
You want butter on that?
Should we split one popcorn?
Somebody’s in our seats.

You want butter on that? Extra butter, please.

要说 a large popcorn、two popcorns 或者 a bucket of popcorn。

You(看完了,觉得不错) Kelly(很喜欢,但有意见) Dan(觉得一般,且不想聊太久)

You: So? What’d you think?

Kelly: I loved it. That was so good.

Dan: It was okay.

You: Just okay? You didn’t like the twist?

Dan: I saw it coming like twenty minutes before.

Kelly: No way. I did not see that coming.

You: Same. I was completely lost.

Dan: The acting was good, though. I’ll give you that.

Kelly: The acting was great. The plot had holes, but who cares.

Dan: I mean, the whole middle part dragged.

You: Okay, that part I agree with.

Kelly: Whatever. It lived up to the hype for me.

Dan: What hype? It’s been out for three weeks.

You: Exactly, that’s why there’s nobody here.

Dan: I’m not saying it was bad. It was fine. Okay, whatever — can we talk about something else?

Kelly: No. I need to talk about that ending.

You: Just don’t spoil it for Dan. He hasn’t seen the ending yet.

Dan: I don’t care about spoilers. I’m gonna get food.

You: Okay, now you’re just doing it on purpose.

It was okay.
It lived up to the hype.
“Fine” is worse than “bad.”“还行"比"烂"还难听。

1. It was okay. 和 It was fine. 判断标准很简单——有具体形容词(good / great / amazing / so good)才是好评,只有 okay 或者 fine 就是差评。 听到 It was fine.

2. I'll give you that 是"这点我认"。 同类说法还有 That's fair.、Fair enough.

3. Same. 别人说 I was completely lost.,你回一个 Same. 就够了,比 I agree with you 自然一百倍。Same. Same here.

You(被剧情勾住了,还想聊) Dan(嘴上说一般,其实想查真实事件) Kelly(等着看彩蛋,还想看续集)

Dan: Okay, one thing. Was that based on a true story?

Kelly: Loosely. I read about it after the trailer came out.

You: Wait, really? What did they change?

Kelly: The ending. The real one’s way different.

Dan: Of course it is. Hollywood.

You: I’m gonna look it up tonight.

Dan: Wanna grab food? I’m starving.

Kelly: Yeah, but hold on. Are there any extra scenes?

Dan: After the credits? I think there’s one.

Kelly: Wait, what? Is there a post-credits scene?

Dan: I’m pretty sure. My cousin told me.

You: Then we’re staying. I’m not missing it again.

Kelly: We always walk out too early.

Dan: It’s never worth it. It’s always like thirty seconds.

Kelly: They announced a sequel, you know.

You: For real? Same cast?

Dan: Probably. Nobody’s confirmed anything yet.

You: I’d watch a sequel. I wanna know what happened to his brother.

Kelly: It’s a sequel, not a remake. Big difference.

Dan: Fair enough. Let’s eat. I’m not standing here for thirty seconds of credits.

You: You’re gonna stand there and like it.

Loosely.
I’m gonna look it up tonight. look up = 查资料
Is there a post-credits scene?
They announced a sequel. sequel
It’s a sequel, not a remake.

Is this movie according to a true story?according to 用错,且不是地道说法Is it based on a true story?
The second part is coming.“第二部"不是 second partThey announced a sequel.
I will go to check the real story. I'm gonna look it up.
There is egg at the end of the movie.“彩蛋"不是 egg,是 post-credits sceneIs there a post-credits scene?
Let's sit and watch the ending words.“字幕"不是 ending words,是 creditsLet's wait for the credits.
I want to eat something, are you going? Wanna grab food?

Is there anything after the credits?

2. based on a true story

1. So? What'd you think? What'd you 连读成 /ˈwʌdʒə/,几乎是"哇加"的音。念成 What did you think 一字一顿就完全不像美国人。

2. It was okay.

口语里 want to 说成 /ˈwɑnə/,going to 说成 /ˈgʌnə/。
