(I got this one. / You got it last time.)。
| 平摊 | Let's just split it.
| 轮流请客 | I got this one. / You got it last time.
| 一人垫付 + 转账 | I'll put it on my card. / Just Venmo me your share.
I got this. / This one's on me. / I'll get it. (No, no, I got it.),你坚持一次就够了,再推下去气氛会变僵。 Thanks, I owe you one.
I'll Venmo you. / Just Venmo me your share.
(Can I see your ID?),护照是有效证件。 I'm good with water.
Sorry, parking was a nightmare.
You(攒局的中国人) Tyler(美国朋友,爱张罗) Jenna(美国朋友,坚持 AA) Priya(美国朋友,今晚不喝酒) Host(门口带位员)
Host: Hi, welcome in. How many tonight?
You: Six, please. Table for six.
Host: Table for six? Do you have a reservation?
You: We don’t. It was kinda last minute — my bad.
Host: No worries. It’ll be about twenty minutes. Two tables are still finishing up.
You: Okay. Can we put our name down?
Host: Sure. What’s the name?
You: Tyler. T-Y-L-E-R.
Host: Got it. I’ll text you when it’s ready.
Tyler: Twenty minutes? Wanna grab a drink at the bar while we wait?
Jenna: Should we wait for Marco, though? He’ll freak if we order without him.
You: He just texted. Parking was a nightmare — he’s like ten minutes out.
Tyler: He told us seven. It’s seven forty. I’m getting a beer.
Priya: Marco’s ten minutes is everybody else’s twenty-five.
You: Hold on — can we even sit before everybody’s here? Some places won’t seat a partial party.
Jenna: Yeah, that’s a thing. They make you wait at the door.
You: Let me go ask. Hey — if we sit now, can you add a chair when our sixth gets here?
Host: Usually I can’t seat a partial party, but I’ve got two four-tops in the back I can push together. Let me go check if it’s cleared.
Tyler: Two four-tops? Perfect. I’m not squeezing six people into a booth.
Host: Okay, I can do it. Just so you know, I need the table back by nine thirty.
Jenna: That’s fine. We’re fast.
Priya: Speak for yourself. I’m getting dessert.
Host: Right this way. And when your friend gets here, wave me down — I’ll bring a chair.

(It'll be about twenty minutes.)。
Sorry, I can't seat you until your whole party's here. We're waiting on one more — he's parking.,他们会告诉你等还是先坐。
3. wave me down 是「跟我招个手」。
有事就抬手示意(wave me down),或者等人路过时说一句 Excuse me。
Marco(美国朋友,刚赶到) You(中国人) Tyler(爱请客,今晚不打算少喝) Priya(今晚不喝酒,负责开车) Nina(本桌服务员)
Marco: Sorry, sorry. Parking was a nightmare — I circled that lot like four times.
Tyler: Four times. Sure you did.
Nina: Hi guys, I’m Nina. Can I start you off with something to drink?
Tyler: Can I see the drink menu? I wanna know what’s on tap.
Nina: For sure. Here you go.
You: Oh hey — before we order. Who’s driving tonight?
Priya: Me. I’m the DD.
Tyler: Come on. One beer. It’s Friday.
Priya: I’m good with water. Seriously, I’m driving.
Nina: So what can I get you?
You: What’s good that isn’t super sweet?
Nina: Our house margarita’s the most popular. Sangria’s good too, if you like wine.
You: Margarita, then. No salt, please.
Tyler: Make it two. Oh — can I try the IPA before I commit?
Nina: Of course. I’ll bring you a little taste.
Marco: Is happy hour still going? Then I’ll do a Modelo.
Nina: Till seven — you just made it.
Priya: Just water for me. Actually — do you do virgin mojitos?
Nina: We do. One virgin mojito. And I gotta see ID from everybody. Can I see your ID?
You: No worries. Mine’s a passport — is that okay?
Nina: Passport’s perfect. House policy — I card anyone who looks under forty.
You: Honestly, getting carded’s a compliment at my age.
Tyler: And I’m clearly a hundred, so you can skip me.
Priya: You guys have your fun. I’ll get everybody home.

Tyler: Okay, before we order — this one’s on me. I got a bonus this month.
Jenna: No. Absolutely not. You paid for everybody last time.
Tyler: That was my birthday dinner. Different thing.

Tyler: We’re not splitting. I’m paying.
Priya: I’m fine either way, but I’m just having a salad. If we split it evenly, I’m paying for somebody’s steak.
You: That’s fair. I was gonna get the ribeye, so…
Marco: Honestly, separate checks is easier. I hate doing math at the table.
Jenna: Then it’s separate. And we tell Nina now — not at the end.
Tyler: You guys are killing me.
Jenna: You can buy the apps. That’s the deal.
Tyler: …Fine. Apps are on me, and nobody argue about the apps.
You: Deal. I’ll Venmo you for my half.
Tyler: No, no, I got it. It’s forty bucks of fried food — let it go.
Nina: Everybody ready, or do you need a minute?
Jenna: Ready. Oh — and it’s separate checks for all six of us, if that’s okay.
Nina: Totally fine. I’ll keep them separate from the start — easier for me too.
You: I’ll go first. Ribeye, medium rare. Can I get potatoes instead of the rice?
Marco: Burger for me, extra fries. Oh, and the wings to start.

Marco: Yeah, yeah. I’ll Venmo you tonight, I swear.
Priya: I’ll take the third one. Jenna, just Venmo me your share — I’m not handing Nina two cards.

(I'll Venmo you. / Just Venmo me your share.)。
账单上会出现 gratuity included 或者 18% gratuity 这类字样,parties of six or more 是常见的触发条件。 Add a little extra on mine.
3. Venmo
I only have cash.

You: Nope. Kinda enjoying the quiet, honestly.

1. Are we splitting this? 用升调,I got this.
2. twenty 和 get it 在口语里会连起来。
get it 连读成「geddit」,所以 I got it.
3. No, no, I got it.
4. Split it three ways
